Rochester Art Club members take note:  pre-registration for the spring workshop with Susan Lyon April 11-15, 2012.  The workshop is on portrait drawing, all levels. The workshop is open to Rochester Art Club members first and note that there are only 15 spots available per the instructor’s request. Registration will open to the public on February 1, 2012. Fee for RAC members is $550 payable in three installments.  A $150 non refundable deposit is due with your registration form.

  • Harry Bliss has been accepted in the Arnot Art Museum’s 73rd Regional exhibit in Elmira, NY. He has also received the Hudson Valley Watercolor Society Award for his painting, Bobber Magic, in the Adirondacks 2011 National Exhibition of American Watercolor at Old Forge, NY.
  • Constance Mauro was awarded the gold ribbon at the Clothesline Arts Festival at the MAG this past September. She also received an Artist Row Award at the 7th Annual Juried Arts Fair at the Public Market, September 8th.
  • Alice Gold, Jack Wolsky and Lori Cooley will show in Counterpoints and Interludes at Robert Weslyan College, 2301 Westside Dr, 14624 November 15th- December 15th.
  • Brenda Cretney was selected as the poster artist for the Niagara Frontier Watercolor Society’s show at the Market Street Art Center in Lockport. She placed 3rd in that show. She was also juried int the Pike’s Peak Watercolor Society’s International Watermedia XVII.
  • Pat Tribastone, PSA, IAPS Master Circle, was accepted into the Maryland Pastel Society’s Biennial Pastel show in Lorton, MD. The show ran until November 21st. Pat has an article in American Artist’s Floral Painting Highlights edition on newsstands now. She was mentioned in American Art Collector magazine (October issue) in the article on the International Guild of Realism exhibit in Santa Fe, NM.
