Signature Membership (juried)

Professional artists are invited to apply for active “signature” membership by submitting four recent original artworks and an artist’s resume to be reviewed by a juried selection process.

Membership applications can be requested via e-mail to Mary Stid via email: info@rochesterartclub.org. Applicants should include name, address, e-mail, and phone.

An alternative to signature membership is the Associate/Affiliate Program (see below).

Next Signature Membership Jurying

Jurying for new membership takes place twice yearly in May and November.

​

Prospective members will be asked to drop off artwork for the jury process. We will also require a resume and a short statement from each applicant as to why they seek RAC membership.

​

Examples of current work done must not have been done in a class or a workshop under direction of an instructor.

Associate/Affiliate Program

RAC offers an alternative to the Signature Juried Membership, where Professional artists can join as an Associate Affiliate. The Associate Affiliate pays the annual RAC dues and in return will receives the bi-monthly newsletter, may participate in workshops, attend Club meetings and all social events. RAC encourages all members to serve on committees.

 

As an Associate Affiliate, you are also invited to participate in the RAC Fall Show. When you have been accepted into three (3) Fall Shows, you become a Signature Member outside the Juried process. 

 

RAC realizes the admission process can be stressful and views  this as a viable alternative to the Juried Membership.  Associate Affiliates are eligible to participate in the Juried Membership if they wish. Refer to the Membership Application for the criteria. Some applicants pursue both avenues for to achieve Signature membership.
