The Rochester Art Club was founded in 1877 and is one of the oldest continuously active art groups in the United States. Until summer of 2023 the RAC had a studio and gallery on the fourth floor of the Hungerford Building (Rooms 437-439). As of August 2023 the new home until further notices is at the Fedder Building, 1237 E Main St, temporarily housed in Studio 415
Members through out the years have included people of all backgrounds, with the common interest in art. Rochester however has been a capital of image making for decades, and many notable artists and patrons have been part of the Rochester Art Club. Members works can be found in private collections and public institutions.
