During Mary Whyte’s presentation she made her first public announcement about her latest project!  You can find all the information at www.patriotartfoundation.org.  

Bevier Gallery is located in the James E. Booth Building on RIT’s Henrietta Campus, 73 Lomb Memorial Drive.  Parking lots E & F have visitor parking spots but stop at the Information Gate first to get a parking pass. The Booth Building is located to the right of the orange brick building called ‘Magic Spell Studios’, walk through the tunnel and entrance to the gallery is on your right just past the tunnel in Building 7A.

Our annual RAC Signature member exhibition will be held at the Bevier Gallery at RIT. When submitting your information for registration please note that things are different this time. There is no longer a registration form but instead a separate file for the RIT staff. This form must accompany your check payable to the Rochester Art Club (also note slight increase in the fee per entry). We need one form per painting/sculpture entered. Be sure to save your painting/sculpture ID tags for receiving. All pieces must be labeled.

Do you need inspiration to keep sketching to improve your drawing skills, document your travels, or work out painting ideas?  This may be the program for you!  Buffalo based artist Carol Case Siracuse has a prolific history of sketch booking. This program is free and open to the public hosted by the Rochester Art Club.

For students of all levels join Mary Whyte for a comprehensive three-day workshop as we paint the clothed model from life. Mary will begin each day with a painting demonstration, and then work one on one with each student. Let Mary help you become the best artist you can be through her discussions about composition, color mixing, achieving accurate values, getting a likeness, correcting mistakes, and creating dynamic concepts. You won’t want to miss Mary’s insights on originality as well as her tips for promoting, framing and pricing your works.

Class time is 9am to 4pm with a one-hour break for lunch. Limited to 18 students of all levels. RAC/NYFSG members $550(registration open til 9/15)
Non Members $600 (registration open 9/16)

You are welcome to join us Sunday, September 9 beginning at 6pm in Studio 458 at the Hungerford, 1115 E. Main St. Rochester 14609 for a live demonstration by award winning and nationally acclaimed artist, Jacob Aguiar.  He will demo a landscape in pastel.  This event is free and open to the public. Parking is available on site.   Jacob is being hosted by the Pastel Society of Western New York.
