Member Spotlight: 
Suzi Zefting-Kuhn

Suzi Zefting-Kuhn is a self-taught artist who has honed her craft under multiple mentors. Being a people person, Suzi is drawn to faces, especially the eyes. She has had the opportunity to study with nationally acclaimed artists like Anna Rose Bain, Mary Whyte, Steven Assael, Jeff Hein, Michelle Dunaway, Susan Lyon, Robert Liberace, David Kassan, Kate Stone,and more. In 2014 Suzi had the opportunity to travel to NYC to study with Burton Silverman in his studio for five days. It was the highlight of her artistic education.

 

Suzi is both a past President and Workshop Coordinator of the Rochester Art Club. She helped found the Pastel Society of Western New York with Robin McCondichie. She is affiliated with the Portrait Society of America, Pastel Society of America, the Adirondack Pastel Society and the National Association of Women Artists. She is founder of the Main Street Artists Gallery and Studio in Rochester, NY. and they now maintain a studio space at the Fedder Building off E. Main Street. Suzi has been an artist owner/member of Pittsford Fine Art, 4 N. Main St, Pittsford NY since the end of 2021.

 

Suzi strives to capture the essence of her subject matter when drawing and painting whether it be the portrait of a person or animal, or the landscape. Currently she has been creating a body of work from her trip to South Africa in May of 2023. See more of Suzi's work at: suzizefting-kuhn.com.
